Colorado

From the mountains to the prairies, Colorado is a very active state that has it all from skiing to hiking fourteeners to spending the day out on the lake to paddling down a raging river.  With 300 days of bright sunshine a year (more annual hours of sun than San Diego or Miami Beach) there is plenty of time to do it all!

Denver has the nation’s largest city park system, with more than 200 parks within city limits and 20,000 acres of parks in the nearby mountains — an area larger than all of Manhattan Island.  Set at the base of the Rocky Mountains you will find a wide range of activities including museums, the Denver Zoo, an amusement park and of course major league sporting events.

The Western Slope has wonderful wineries, hot springs, hiking and biking.

Colorado’s Mountain towns such as Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge and Winter Park offer year round activities.  Skiing the Rocky Mountain powder can’t be beat and in the summer enjoy a Jazz festival, mountain biking or even the Alpine Slide.

Southern Colorado has the Air Force Academy, the Olympic training center, Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak or stay a night at the famous Broadmoor Hotel.
